Microneedling, also referred to as Collagen Induction Therapy is used to rejuvenate skin cells and stimulate collagen production by causing a controlled pro-inflammatory response in the dermis. A sterile cartridge containing tiny micro-needles is attached to a device that allows for controlled depth micro-injuries to the skin. This process attracts fibroblasts to the treated area which then lay down a new collagen and elastic matrix.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS DO I NEED?
Some patients only require a single treatment annually to achieve optimal results. However, it is recommended for most patients to receive a series of 3 treatments spaced 6 – 8 weeks apart. For patients with more significant skin-care concerns, such as acne scars, it is recommended to receive 6 – 8 treatments.
HOW LONG DOES THE PROCEDURE TAKE?
The procedure takes about 60 minutes but can vary depending on the size of the area treated.
